Challenge
2020 landed a sucker punch. It left us all reeling.
Confused, detached, each of us secluded in our solitude. Operating remotely. What could replace our foosball meetups, nicotine intervals, and casual chats around the water dispenser? How were we to generate originality when existence appeared to be terminating? All was despair and dark. Or so it seemed?
This work was created with a simple insight.
What if this was a never before time to be creative? No guide, no handbook, just a clean slate to begin again.
A collective collaborated to create powerful writing and varied visuals that enhanced the artistry.
In my design team, the stellar artist Mangesh Sutar crafted these stunning drawings by hand. The exquisite wording is courtesy of my writing associate, Ahana Chaudhuri.
Solution
A beautiful illustrated e-book was born, created for TBWA\India.
Every leaf bore a valuable insight from 2020. Abstract visual artwork was crafted to vividly depict each of these 2020 wisdoms. It featured a minimalistic, monochrome living art theme. Every leaf whispered its own tale. This continuously lured the reader to indulge in the pages time and again.
